Baby loves it, but a bit cheap looking

My baby really does enjoy teething on this necklace, and its great to wear when we are out and about so that we have a toy that’s attached to me and can’t get lost. However, I was a bit disappointed with the necklaces appearance. The silk cord is pretty bulky and has bulky plastic fastener, and the pendant is pretty obviously plastic-looking. I don’t really feel like it just looks like a nice necklace, which is what I was hoping for. All in all, I don’t think I would have purchased this had I actually seen it first. Oh well, I probably shouldn’t have expected a teething toy to be fine jewelry. (:

“Is it okay that he’s chewing on your necklace?”

Everyone who’s seen this necklace thinks that it’s real jewelry – so much so that one person tried to take it out of my son’s mouth! My 8-month-old loves it, and I’m enjoying the freedom of not having to bend down and pick up dropped toys. It might not be the best toy for you if you wear a lot of necklaces (since your baby will probably think, “Hey, that’s mine, too!”), but this is the only one I ever wear, so it works.
Pros: style; function; mouth-feel; size; easy to clean; pop-open emergency clasp for when little one pulls a little too hard!
Cons: picks up hair/lint easily; string/chain is already starting to fray lightly and will likely need to be replaced before he outgrows this as a chewing toy; string/chain gets DRENCHED with spit so I can only wear with darker tops.
If the string/chain were slightly modified, this would be an easy 5 stars.

Was hoping for more style

This necklace/toy is great for my little one while he is nursing, he loves to play with it while he is eating. And when he is not nursing, he really enjoys playing with it and chewing on it. However, I’m disappointed with it as a necklace as I was hoping for something I could wear while out in public. This necklace seems to bulky and cheap looking for my taste. I would wear it in public if it kept my little one entertained, but definitely not as a fashion accessory!
